Wing Chun - Dummy Form & Chi Sau Seminar with Sifu Paul Smith

Sifu Paul Smith introduces the dummy form and its applications in Chi Sau over two seminars.

This will cover both the dummy form and its applications, and is a rare opportunity for those students yet to encounter the Wing Chun dummy, to train with the apparatus. The seminars will help to improve footwork and Chi Sau skills as well as introducing a form which many will not have seen or practiced before. This is an opportunity not to be missed, and students of all levels will benefit from attending.

Time: 12 PM - 5 PM (with break) both days

Venue: Pilmeny Youth Centre, 44 Buchanan Street, Leith, Edinburgh, EH6 8RF - map link.
The hall is adjacent to the large church on Dalmeny Street, with access down the alley where the Pilmeny centre sign is. Parking available on surrounding side streets, or the large Scotmid car park at the foot of Leith Walk. Any bus going down Leith Walk or Easter Road will stop very close by, e.g. Lothian buses: 1, 7, 10, 12, 14, 16, 22, 25, 35, 49. The venue is also approximately 25 minutes walk from Waverly train station.

Wing Chun - Basics And Beyond, with Sifu Paul Smith

Sifu Paul Smith is visting Edinburgh and will be giving a wide-ranging Wing Chun Kung Fu seminar over two days.

This cover both traditional and non-traditional use of Wing Chun, covering chi sao, drills for improving speed and reactions, and incorporating locks. Further, Sifu Smith will be covering ground fighting chi sao, and sparring in Wing Chun, and its use in an MMA arena.

This event will be a tour de force in the Wing Chun system, and its use to the modern-day fighter. This seminar represents a rare opportunity to learn from a martial arts master and champion fighter.

Wing Chun 6 ½ Point Pole Seminar with Sifu Paul Smith

This seminar will teach the Luk Dim Boon Kwun, or "Six and A Half Point Pole" form.

Attendees must bring a suitable training pole in order to paricipate. While a proper 7-8 foot pole is best, any wooden pole at least 6 foot long is fine. Please try to avoid overly thin / weak poles, as training drills may break them!
